Eleonora Azzini’s huge passion is what motivated her to found The Dog Design school in Sestri Levante, after having attended dog shows and then undertaken a training programme aimed not only at enhancing the beauty of her dogs but also focused on their health and well-being and taking care of their coat.
This led to her encounter with Iv San Bernard, and she immediately embraced its philosophy and approach, which translated into a process of growth and specialisation. She decided to focus on training because she wanted to make her expertise available to those who choose to approach the world of grooming with passion, methodically and professionally, and to those who wish to improve their skills.
The Dog Design grooming academy offers basic courses, master courses in stripping and scissor cutting, seminars on dermocosmetics and SPA techniques, and workshops on stripping and spaniel breeds.
Courses
- Basic Course: gives beginners the theoretical elements and practical base to get a proficient overview of the grooming profession, managing one’s own shop and gaining access to the next steps in training. (400 hours)
- “Face to Face” Course: a personal course in every sense of the word, flexible in both schedule and contents, to meet the needs of the student and fill gaps in knowledge. (1-2 days)
- Classic Course: gives the possibility to perfect basic techniques, from scissor cutting to stripping, to improving precision and the necessary familiarity and to enhance talent. (on request)
- Finishing Course: a course focused on techniques and specific products for the finishing and preparation of shows and expositions. (1-2 days)
- Spa Course: reserved for clients who have acquired the Iv San Bernard machines for hydrotherapy and ozone-therapy. (1-2 days)
- Advanced Stripping Course
- Cosmetology course and use of Iv San Bernard products
- Finishing Course for breeds Wirehaired Dachshund, Jack Russell, Rough Collie, Schnauzer, Scottish Terrier, Setter Gordon, Black Russian Terrier, West Highland.

Research Doctor and prominent scholar in the field of ancient books, in 2012 she decided to leave the academic field to dedicate herself to her big passion: breeding and the selection of wirehaired dachshunds. It is indeed the desire to present the best of her subject in beauty pageants that constitutes her first inspiration and approach to the world of grooming. She started her training experience with Marco Marastoni, a decisive influence for his knowledge of the Iv San Bernard methodology and philosophy, whose numerous enhancement courses and internships she would follow and always be inspired by. She specialised in the grooming of stripping breeds up to the point where she would develop her own working method. In the exposition field she has had continuous success, winning numerous awards. Among the most prestigious 2 world titles, she counts 1 WUT world title, 1 European title, as well as places on the podiums of the most important European competitions. She is requested as a professional groomer by renowned breeders such as Gotha dachshund breeding and Whitetan Jack Russell breeding. In 2014 her salon in Sestri Levante, Dog Design, obtained the recognition of the Iv San Bernard Academy.
