The latest of the Iv San Bernard Academies inaugurated, Iv San Bernard Grooming by Luis Aibar, is a boutique and wellness centre for dogs and cats that offers an all-inclusive service, accompanying the client in making the right product choices and offering customisable treatments. Internships, specialisation and personalised courses are organised here with the objective of training professionals in the sector.

Courses

  • Basic Course: gives the participant the theoretical elements and practical basis to get a proficient overview of the grooming profession, managing one’s own shop and gaining access to the next steps in training. (400 hours)
  • “Face to Face” Course: a personal course in every sense of the word, flexible in both schedule and contents, to meet the needs of the student and fill gaps in knowledge. (1-2 days)
  • Classic Course: gives the possibility to perfect basic techniques, from scissor cutting to stripping, to improve precision and the necessary familiarity and to enhance talent. (on request)
  • Finishing Course: a course focused on techniques and specific products for the finishing and preparation of shows and expositions. (1-2 days)
  • Spa Course: reserved for clients who have acquired the Iv San Bernard machines for hydrotherapy and ozone-therapy. (1-2 days)

Summarising the path taken by Luis Aibar is complicated, because it’s difficult to explain the professional career of this groomer from Altea in a few lines.He has 15 years’ experience in the grooming sector, and more than 10 years of experience running his own business, previously called Lac Saló Estètic CaníHe has both national and international experience: he worked as a member of the Iv San Bernard staff and given many seminars throughout the world. In November 2015, Iv San Bernard presented him with an award in recognition for his work in grooming and in February 2018 his own academy “Iv San Bernard Luis Albar Grooming” was inaugurated, one of the trailblazers in the country.
